At the end the year 2007, let me reflect for a moment. For some, this year was pure bliss. For others, it contained painful lessons. For all of us, however, the past is over.
As well, the best perspective about January 1, 2008 is this: ‘Today is a new day.’
A Minister in a Japanese Zen Buddhist church I went to in Palo Alto, California, said in the mass at January 1, 2000:
‘Oh, not another millennium. Rather, just a new day.” There was something so balancing about that comment – it has stuck with me, for 8 years now. Bringing balance into my every day breath.
Happy New Day to You!
