Kathleen Gage presents The higher my expectations, the lower my serenity. posted at ‘Daily Awareness’, saying, “The higher my expectations, the lower my serenity. The first time I heard this from my spiritual mentor over 25 years ago, I had a difficult time wrapping my mind around it. It was during a time I wanted to control things that seemed uncontrollable; like people, places and things. Life was in turmoil and I simply wanted some semblance of order. It seemed the more I tried to control and the more I expected people to comply to my way of doing things, the more out of control things became. The challenge for me was understanding the difference between expectancy and expectations.”

Carolyn Lee Boyd writes in the blog post you selected —
“What would our world be like if women had never lost their freedom that so many ancient civilizations seem to have offered women?”
This is a wonderful question to contemplate. I thoroughly enjoyed her thought-provoking blog post, especially with some of the Jungian analysis.
Excellent choice for your carnival!
Kudos for choosing “Using a Health Savings Account to Pay for Alternative Medicine” for this wonderful carnival.
I can’t believe how many people are offered the choice to participate in a Health Saving Account through their employer and don’t take part. It also comes in handy for co-pays and any other out-of-pocket expenses. It has lowered our taxes and is one of the smarter financial decisions we have made!
wow, astrid, thanks so much! thanks for the star blogger award!
you did a really great job with this carnival, and i’m proud to be part of it.
Hey Astrid,
My daughter delivered her baby (my first grandson) yesterday. I’ve been with her throughout Friday and Saturday so haven’t had a chance to visit or blog the carnival — but will do my best to get it blogged before day is over. Luckily her hospital room has Internet access. But, we are caught up in the excitement.
Thank Astrid,
Appreciate so much for including my post
