Alkalinize Your Body To Health & Extend Your Life Expectancy

The acid-alkaline balance of your body has a strong impact on how energetic you feel and your health. Some people are naturally more alkaline, and have apparently endless source of energy no matter how much energy they consume and are slim no matter how bad they eat. The acid-alkaline balance is expressed in pH, with a 7 being neutral, below 7 acidic, and above 7 alkaline. In optimal health, the human body’s blood is in a slight alkaline state, with a ph of 7.4.
The prevailing Western lifestyle and food intake is very acidic, which causes both a feeling of low energy and a breakdown of the body, sooner or later. That article was a basic general primer.
Now I’d like to introduce this follow-on article on alkaline foods and alkaline lifestyle that is a bit more specific. It’s written by Dr. Robert Young ans is called ‘The Top Ten Causes of Death Can Be Prevented’:

3. Stroke

4. Chronic lower respiratory disease
* % of Deaths: 5

5. Accidents
* % of Deaths: 4.5 (motor vehicles accidents: 2%)

14.6% of all mortality in the US is from other causes which are related to acidic lifestyle and dietary choices.
Sickness and disease is not something you get or catch, it is something you do. You don’t get cancer you do cancer with your lifestyle and dietary choices. For example, if you smoke you are doing lung cancer. If you drink alcohol you are doing liver and/or kidney disease. If you eat pure acid like sugar and/or animal protein you are doing diabetes or bowel cancer. The top ten killers in the US are ALL caused by personal dietary and lifestyle choice.”

What Foods are Alkaline?
There is a delicate balance of PH in our world. I first learned about PH when I had a job as a carpet cleaner. Everything that we used to clean carpets was based on the PH scale. The PH of the stain would tell you what PH you need to get it out. It was remotely scientific. Lately there has been a lot more science surrounding the PH of foods and the PH levels of the Human Body. Here is a list of food that are consider good for helping to restore the bodies ph.
Alkaline Fruits
- apples
- bananas
- grapefruit
- oranges
- pineapple
- raisins
- nectarines
- blackberries
- dates
Most fruits are alkaline.
These are some of the good ones:
Alkaline Vegetables
Most vegetables are alkaline in nature.
These include:
- broccoli
- carrots
- cabbage
- cauliflower
- celery
- eggplant
- mushrooms
- squash
- turnips
- The most alkaline of all the vegetables are leafy greens, greens, greens! Get them in you. Wheat grass, spinach, chard, collards, kale, etc.
Other Foods….
These foods are also considered alkaline:
- millet, buckwheat, sprouted beans, sprouted seeds, olive oil, soaked almonds.
- almonds, chestnuts, fresh coconut, molasses. molasses, maple syrup, honey.
What does it mean to have an acidic system?
Acid causes oxidation which in turn causes decay. Disturbances related to excess acidity are: weakening of the skin, hair, nails, teeth, and bones. Acid has also been linked to problems with digestion such as: leaky gut syndrome, IBS, Ulcers. It has been linked to Candida and many types of allergies. Chronic Fatigue is just one of the many symptoms of excess acid.
Interesting Factoid
In a free range chicken egg, the egg white that acts as a protective shield to the growing embryo has a PH of 9 which is highly alkaline. While the yolk itself has a PH of 6.5 which is just slightly acidic”.
