Professional athletes* deal with various kinds of pressure and stress. They face emotional and physical challenges. They hold a complex set of commitments to sponsors, teams, coaches, training plans — all while managing their sports-related injuries and recovery.
(* Also applicable collegiate athletes and weekend warriors. )
Reiki can assist athletes’ natural healing abilities in these situations. It boosts the overall positive wellness of body and mind by healing the causes and so eliminating the effects of their imbalances. It restores and re-balances the person’s natural energy.
This is the way that Reiki makes athletes be better prepared in body and mind for competition and athletic performance.
Develop A Winner’s Mind
Sports performance is say 50% physical training and 50% ‘right thinking’. Without balance in the mind, there’s no balance in the body. Without a winners mentality, there’s no gold metal. With Reiki, athletes will feel better, compete better, and are therefore more likely to improve records and win.
Reiki can help you develop a winners mind. The more Reiki flows through the body, the clearer the mind becomes. On an mental/emotional level, Reiki can help athletes with issues like managing fear and stress. It can, for example, be great for reducing the stress of a much anticipated game and gets you energized for the event. On a physical level, Reiki is preventative and preparatory but also helpful post-performance, when it can help athletes’ bodies heal and recover.
Aid Training

- Reiki improves concentration and focus. It helps centering the mind, freeing it from distraction.

Enhance Recovery from Injury & Accident
- Reiki - for all the athletes with sports injuries - who want to be back in the field in half the time.
- Reiki is great for immediate first aid. It can be used any time, any place.
- It is a valuable relaxing and healing therapy for on-the-spot treatment. Reiki can be applied after minor accidents or injuries, such as wounds, swellings, cramps, bruising, burns, sprains, headaches & concussions.
- It stops small bleedings.
- Reiki tends to offer immediate pain relief. As it reduces pain, it reduces the need for anaesthetic.
- Reiki can greatly reduce the healing time of injury, eg. of broken bones (applied after they have been set). Reiki is reported to heal tissues, sprains, breaks and feelings in half the time it would take without the use of Reiki.
- Aids post-Workout Recovery Reiki speeds the healing of new (and old ! ) injuries.
- Reduce muscle soreness
- Reiki releases energetic blockages and tension, making this practice deeply restorative.
Handle Seasonal Issues
- Reiki helps heal allergies.
Is Preventative & Safe
- Reiki helps prevent severe injuries. Reiki could be a secret weapon for sport performance & success for athletes, coaches and trainers.
- It’s fast to apply, simple & effective. No tools are needed. Once attuned to Reiki, healing energy flows through the body automatically.
- Reiki is completely safe and has no known negative side-effects. It does not not interfere with medical treatment. In fact, it complements and enhanced medications and may reduce their side-effects.
- Reiki also releases accumulated daily stress, it removes toxins from the body, and overall, offers improved health.
Conclusion
Athletes may have other issues that they need to address, alongside their injuries. Alternative therapy can help both. Often dealing with their other issues, athletes can actually improve their recovery & rehab.
